What to begin with I should explain what a Buoy Bat is.. This company began back in 2008 when a lobster pot buoy washed up on Main’s shore. Teaching his daughter how to hold it like a bat, throwing an old tennis ball, owner, Bill Page came up with this novelty sport. Buoy bat is relatively like the traditional american sport baseball put has a new and innovative twist on it. With the large “Pot” on the end of the bat it makes it simple to hit the ball no matter what age you are.
The product you get is an authentic handmade lobster pot buoy to play with! 🙂 You can play this sport absolutely anywhere you would like! Although a beachy sport it is amazing to play just in the back yard, because the ball is soft enough you can even get a few hits inside without damaging the walls. 😛
Something interesting about the Buoy bat is no matter how many of them you get, even if their the same color, none of them will ever be exactly alike. The Buoy’s final process in being made is baking it which creates differences in size, shape and even texture! Just a nifty little fact to put out there.
My sister Morgan and I had a blast playing Buoy bat with one another, which is a surprise for us. The soft ball seemed to hit us more than the bat but it was still a blast! Our dogs chased us around as we aimlessly ran around to get a ‘home run’.
Something I realized about Buoy bat is it would be absolutely perfect to get your children started up on baseball.. The size allows them to receive the satisfaction of hitting the ball when they go for it while teaches them how to hit! The bat is light and fun! Even after they get into the baseball mode the kids would still love playing Buoy Bat!
You can find the workers of Buoy Bat at shows selling their products where they would happily talk to you and help you out! Maybe you could even get them to hit the ball once or twice? 🙂
